What is Follett Destiny?

Destiny is web-based library browser providing access to the library's catalog, digital content and ebooks.

Why use Destiny?

Destiny supports student learning through cataloguing and organizing resources that can be located in a school’s Media Center and online. Students, teachers, and Medi Specialists can find, share and use multiple resources found in Destiny.

Who can access Destiny?

All Volusia County Schools students and teachers have access to Destiny.

How can I access Destiny?

Destiny is all online and can easily be used from any computer connected to the internet through vPortal.

How will Destiny help my child research?

  • Destiny can be used from most devices connected to the internet even at home.
  • Destiny is a user-friendly catalog with book images and information easily found through the search feature. The user can also see the number of copies available, description of the book, reading level, as well as other information about the book.
  • Are you unable to locate the perfect book or interested in a specific topic? Destiny will make suggestions related a book that is selected.
  • Destiny allows the user to make a booklist of book selections.
  • Destiny creates a bibliography from a booklist with a touch of one button.
