DELAND—Volusia County Schools and Volusia United Educators (VUE) have reached an agreement related to Teacher Salary Increase Allocation (TSIA) funding.

The agreement includes approximately an additional $611,111 in funding on top of the previously allocated $4 million, reinforcing the district’s commitment to attracting and retaining high-quality educators while recognizing the dedication of current employees. Eligible employees may submit verification of Florida teaching experience to human resources prior to September 2, 2026.

“Our employees are the foundation of Volusia County Schools, and we remain committed to supporting and investing in the people who make a difference in the lives of students every day,” Superintendent Dr. Carmen Balgobin said. “This agreement reflects our shared dedication to attracting and retaining outstanding educators by enhancing compensation for both new and experienced teachers. We are grateful to our School Board, employees, families, students, and community partners for their continued support as we work together to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed."
