VCS Asks Families to Lock in Learning Option for Remainder of School Year
DELAND – With the third grading period beginning today, Tuesday, January 26, it is important for Volusia County Schools families to make a firm decision now on which learning option they want for the remainder of the school year.
Beginning February 5, students will be required to remain in their learning option (remote or in-person) through the end of the school year June 4. (VCS will continue to work with brick-and-mortar students who are out of school temporarily due to COVID-19 to ensure students are able to remain on-track with their assignments.)
With the testing season approaching and schedules being adjusted for the new grading period, it is critical for student success that VCS has consistency of learning for the next four months. Student moves result in scheduling issues and loss of instructional time.
Let’s all work together for a successful second semester!
