Summer meal distribution and registration for Extended Day and Before the Bell programs extended
DELAND – Summer meal distribution at 24 Volusia County Schools, plus Extended Day, and Before the Bell registrations are all being extended.
Summer meal distribution continued through August 13
Because the start of school for Volusia County Schools has been moved to August 31, summer meal distribution at 24 schools is being extended through Thursday, August 13.
Meals will be available to pick up curbside from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. Students must be present or proper identification presented by a guardian. For each day of distribution, students will receive breakfast and lunch for two days.
The pickup sites are: Campbell Middle School, Chisholm Elementary, Citrus Grove Elementary, DeLand High, Deltona Middle, Freedom Elementary, Galaxy Middle, Hinson Middle, Indian River Elementary, Mainland High, McInnis Elementary, Orange City Elementary, Osceola Elementary, Osteen Elementary, Port Orange Elementary, Pride Elementary, River Springs Elementary, South Daytona Elementary, Southwestern Middle, Spirit Elementary, Spruce Creek Elementary, Starke Elementary, Tomoka Elementary, and Volusia Pines Elementary.

Deadline to register for Extended Day changed to August 7
The registration deadline for enrollment in the Extended Day and Before the Bell programs is being extended through 5 p.m. Friday, August 7. Parents/guardians should complete the online application available at: https://www.vcsedu.org/EDEP/edep-and-btb-registration. The site also includes a list of participating schools.
