School Way Cafe Announces Special Curbside Meals for the 2 Weeks of Winter Break


DELAND – School Way Café will serve 10 days’ worth of meals for children for winter break. Families may pick up meals Thursday, Dec. 17, between 5:30 and 6:30 p.m. at one of the 22 schools listed below. Meals will be bundled with 10 breakfasts and 10 lunches and are provided for free.

This special curbside service on Dec. 17 is for all Volusia County children, including students enrolled in the traditional classroom/brick and mortar option.  

The regular curbside meal service will not be held on Dec.22 or 29. Volusia County Schools will be on winter break from Dec. 21 to Jan. 4, and regular pickup for the curbside meal service will resume Jan. 5, 2021.

Registration for winter break meals is required no later than Friday, Dec. 11. Click here to register for meals:

All children 18 and younger are eligible and do not need be enrolled at one of the pickup sites. Parents must show their ID when picking up meals, as well as a form of ID for each child requesting meals. Current student ID cards or birth certificates are acceptable.
