FSA Spring Testing Begins
The first round of spring Florida Standards Assessments (FSA) testing will begin the week of April 5 with Grade 3 Reading and Grades 4-10 Writing. Volusia County Schools have been preparing and getting the students ready to do their best!
Please make sure students get a good night’s sleep, eat a good breakfast, and are on time for school.
“The Florida Standards Assessments required by state and federal law are more critical than ever so that educators and parents can measure progress and determine what additional services and supports students need to be successful,” said Superintendent Dr. Scott Fritz.
FSA testing will continue in May. The schedule is available at: https://www.vcsedu.org/REA/assessment (see Testing Calendars).
In addition, the Cambridge AICE, IB, and AP courses and programs offer VCS high school students the ability to learn through highly rigorous and advanced studies, as well as the opportunity to earn college credit through examinations. Cambridge AICE exams will take place beginning April 26 at VCS’ five Cambridge high schools (Deltona, New Smyrna Beach, Pine Ridge, Seabreeze, and University). International Baccalaureate exams will start May 3 at DeLand and Spruce Creek high schools. Advanced Placement exams will also take place starting May 3 at all 10 high schools.
