Deadline is 9 a.m. Monday, August 3 to pre-register students for VCS fall reopening

DELAND – Volusia County Schools parents and guardians are reminded to pre-register their children for fall school reopening by choosing one of the three Learning Options no later than 9 a.m. on Monday, August 3.

The pre-registration form is available until the noon Thursday deadline on the VCS Reopening Roadmap website:

The start of the 2020-2021 student school year is set for Monday, August 31. The three Learning Options for children are:

  • Traditional Classroom setting
  • Volusia Live (real-time live streaming)
  • Enhanced Volusia Online Learning – Enrollment ends Friday, July 31. Please visit for more information.

Details about each of the Learning Options, along with updated Frequently Asked Questions and video recordings of the virtual Parent Information Sessions held for each level (elementary, middle, and high school), are available on the Reopening Roadmap website.

A separate pre-registration form should be completed for each child, and parents will need their child’s alpha code for the pre-registration process. Children who are not pre-registered will be automatically enrolled in the Traditional Classroom option, but VCS requests that parents/guardians selecting that option complete the pre-registration form anyway to help the school district appropriately plan and allocate resources for fall school reopening.

Together, We Are Stronger
