It’s a brand new school year, and Volusia County Schools is excited to welcome students Back to School! Classes start Monday, August 16.

Our online Parent Guide is a great resource for all kinds of information – from Breakfast/Lunch and Student Transportation to the School Year Calendar and the Dress Code.

A few reminders for the new school year:

  • School Way Café will serve meals (breakfast and lunch) to all VCS students attending in-person classes at no charge this school year! Even so, please complete the free/reduced meals application to receive the letter of eligibility and to help VCS qualify for federal education funding. Apply today.
  • Uniforms are no longer required. The Dress Code requires proper dress for school including shoes that are safe and appropriate. Shorts, jumpers, and skirts must be at least mid-thigh or below in length. Upper garments must be long enough to stay tucked in. More information about the Dress Code is available online.
  • Meet Your Teacher, Orientations, and Open House schedules are available online.
  • For Supply Lists and other school-specific information, please use your school’s website and social media accounts. If you have moved and need to update your address or other contact information, please contact your school right away.

The VCS website and social media pages are also great sources of information – we update daily!
