On February 14, one of our students was visibly upset when she got on her bus for school. The driver and attendant (Dee Butler and Richelle Lee of Route #303) asked what was bothering her. Our student said she had cupcakes and valentines for her class that she had forgotten at home.
When Dee Butler and Richelle Lee finished their route they contacted the student's grandmother to inform her of the situation. They then drove back to the child's bus stop to meet Grandma and get the cupcakes and valentines. They then brought them to the student at school!
Dee Butler and Richelle Lee's act of kindness touched the hearts of each of us. This is THE VOLUSIA WAY.
