Summer Reading

This year the “Summer Slide” got an early start, but we can all do our part to stop it. “What are you reading… to escape from these odd and challenging times.”

We are asking our entire community from students to district leaders to read at least one book this summer, then share it with the rest of us.  Simply share the title, author, and a little something about the book you or your child has read on social media and include the hashtags below. Include others in the community you feel will support this initiative. Let’s tackle the slide, one book at a time.

“What are you reading?” kicks off on Friday, May 29, until August 30, 2020.

We've also teamed up with the Daytona Tortugas for the Summer Home Run Reading Program.  Shelldon and the superintendent have set a goal for local students to read 1 million minutes, and you can help them reach that goal while winning awesome prizes!  Go to their website for details:
