POLICY NUMBER: School Board Policy 303

POLICY TITLE: Special Programs and Procedures for Exceptional Students

PURPOSE AND EFFECT: Annual update to the Special Programs and Procedures for Exceptional Students.

SUMMARY OF THE ECONOMIC IMPACT ON THIS POLICY: There is no economic impact on any agency or individual other than the cost of promulgating and disseminating this policy.

CONSIDERATION BY THE SCHOOL BOARD OF VOLUSIA COUNTY: The proposed action will be considered by the School Board of Volusia County at the meeting to be held by the School Board on January 26, 2021, at the DeLand Administrative Complex, 200 North Clara Avenue, DeLand, Florida. The School Board shall set aside time for the purpose of receiving comment on the proposed action on or about 5:30 p.m. Speakers will be given up to three minutes to provide comment, in accordance with Volusia County School Board Policy 801. If any affected person under section 120.54, Florida Statutes, would like to request a hearing in order to present evidence and argument on any issue under consideration in the revision of the policy, he/she must submit such request in writing to the Agency Clerk, Ms. Erin Leben, at 200 North Clara Avenue, DeLand, Florida, 32720. The request must be received by the Agency Clerk no later than 5 p.m., January 25, 2021.

VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
