Concordia University

A partnership with Concordia University-Portland gives Volusia County School employees access to exclusive scholarships for over twenty graduate education degree programs. Concordia's accredited, fully online programs are designed to enhance your skills and fit your busy life.

Concordia University MEd programs can be completed fully online in one year and the EdD program can be completed fully online in three years. Choose the program and concentration right for you and enhance your skills as an education professional. MEd programs begin approximately every five weeks and EdD programs begin approximately every eight weeks.

Concordia University-Portland’s groundbreaking new concentration, Trauma and Resilience in Educational Settings, is unique, imperative, and timely. In one year, you could bring life-changing knowledge to your school and, at the same time, care for yourself.

Support students affected by trauma and help them thrive in the classroom. Nearly two out of three students experience trauma and it often openly or subtly affects their focus, behavior, and success in the classroom.

These kids need a teacher, a principal, a guidance counselor, a school nurse - someone at school with extensive knowledge on how to recognize and respond to trauma. If that person is you, building strength in your students is as important as cultivating it in yourself.
