The Apple Project provides supplemental student access and support to iDevices in 53 Title I PK-12 school classrooms, intervention groups, VPK classrooms, ESOL elementary and secondary classrooms and for instructional coaching in order to increase student engagement and achievement in reading, writing, math, and science. Parent Education Facilitators work with schools to increase parent involvement in education. They collaborate with schools to develop workshops and activities that meet the needs of Title I families and staff. Parenting Education Facilitators work to ensure that families stay involved with student curriculum and strengthen the partnership between the home and school.
The Plus One Program adds one hour to each school day, providing teachers and students more instructional time. It does not add additional curriculum, but rather gives teachers and students more time to cover the elementary curriculum. Extra time allows teachers to cover the curriculum in more depth and provides students with greater opportunities to master skills and concepts.
SmartStart brings individualized instruction to the preschool level in a developmentally appropriate way and blends it with research-based center learning. It is a multimodal resource for teaching age-appropriate reading, math and science concepts in classrooms. The instructional strands include Literacy, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Executive Function, and Cognition.
SuccessMaker is the only continuously adaptive K-8 reading and math intervention program with over 50 years of proven results. Through adaptive motion, the program personalizes learning paths for mastery of essential reading and math concepts and delivers outcome-based data to inform educational decision-making. Tutoring instruction focuses on the core subjects of reading and math. The tutoring groups are small: 1 teacher to a maximum of 8 students. Tutors plan instruction according to the student's need and monitor their progress regularly. Tutors will also communicate regularly with the student's classroom teacher and parents. Letters inviting students to the tutoring program are sent to parents of students in greatest need of extra help. For more specific information, please contact your school.
Waterford is a computer-based instructional program that adapts automatically to give each student a unique learning experience tailored to his or her own skill level and pace. Using Waterford as an early intervention ensures real success through early intervention. The Reading program addresses the five areas of reading instruction: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Vocabulary, Fluency, and Comprehension. The Math and Science program addresses Measurement and Data, Operation and Algebraic Thinking, Numbers and Operations, Geometry, and Science.
