Elementary School

Fourteen elementary schools offer gifted services. Visit the "Find your gifted site" page to discover which school your child would attend after a placement specialist and Education Plan Team deem gifted services are required. Elementary schools offering gifted services use a self-contained setting where basic skills are taught within a class of gifted peers. Additionally, students receive a compacted, differentiated curriculum of enrichment and acceleration.

Middle School

All Volusia County middle schools offer gifted services in all four core academic classes: language arts, social studies, math and science.  As seen in the elementary schools, the course content is compacted and supplemented with enrichment and acceleration as needed. In addition middle schools offer exploratory experiences with non-gifted peers.

High School

Gifted students attending Volusia County high schools have a wide variety of educational opportunities to meet their academic needs. Gifted consultation teachers support the gifted learner within any academic setting.
