Career Academy Application

Parents/guardians whose student meets the grade level requirements will be able to apply for Career Academy programs through the Parent Portal. Students must be rising 9th, 10th or 11th graders to apply for a Career Academy. If your student is accepted into a Career Academy, district transportation is not provided. 

Step 1: Create a Parent Portal Account

• Need a Parent Portal account? Click on registration instructions.
• To register for a Parent Portal account you will need a student PIN. If you did not receive a PIN please contact your student's current school to request a PIN.
• Not a Volusia County student? Click for registration instructions to create a non-Volusia County student FOCUS Parent Portal account.

Step 2: Login to your Parent Portal Account

• The title "Career Academy Application 2022" will appear for the parent under their student's name in the left-side menu on their Parent Portal.

Step 3: Complete the Career Academy Application

• Need step by step instructions to complete the Career Academy application? 
• The deadline is February 7, 2022.

Step 4: Communicate Declaration of Intent

• Parents will be notified of student application status through the Parent Portal by February 18, 2022.
• The parent Declaration of Intent to accept/decline the offered Academy seat is due by February 28, 2022.
