Behavior Initiatives
The Volusia County Behavioral Initiative (VCBI) is a professional development system designed to assist individuals, schools and the district in planning effective behavioral practices. The primary purpose of VCBI is to train individuals and school teams on the use of preventative, proactive practices of student management. The major components are the implementation of Positive Behavior Intervention and Support, program support for Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities, and RULER, a Social-Emotional Learning approach developed by the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence.
