Building & Inspection Department

The Building and Inspections Department is part of Facilities Services and provides support to the Volusia School District through the following functions.

The Building Department serves as Volusia County Schools building official which provides Florida Building Code plan reviews, permits and inspections for all new construction, remodeling, renovation, repair and demolition projects throughout the district.

When submitting physical documents in person for legacy permits, please call 386-734-7190 ext. 50721 to arrange a meeting time to ensure we are available to review.  

Legacy Permit Document submittals are received between 7:00AM - 2:30PM.
