ITS Division Office

Lead by the VCS Chief Technology Officer, the ITS Division Office supervises the four ITS departments and manages its business operations in coordination with other district divisions.

  • Strategic Plan:
    • Ensures the implementation of the ITS responsibilities within the VSC Strategic Plan.
    • ITS is one of three support divisions responsible for Guardrail #3. ITS supports Strategy 3A: Enable and improve the educational experiences of students, families and staff with secure and reliable network infrastructure, timely and effective technical support, efficient and user-friendly systems and aligned and impactful educational technologies.
  • Communication and Public Relations:
    • Serves as the primary point of contact for internal and external inquiries related to technology services.
    • Manages communication with school administrators, staff, parents, and the community regarding technology initiatives.
    • Develops and implements communication strategies to inform stakeholders about ITS projects, policies, and announcements.
  • Budget and Policy Management:
    • Develops and manages the ITS budget, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
    • Procures district technology.
    • Implements and enforces technology division policies and procedures.
    • Tracks technology assets and maintains accurate records.
  • Project Management:
    • Assists departments with the implementation and execution of major ITS projects, ensuring they meet deadlines and objectives.
    • Collaborates with other VCS Division and Departments on cross-functional projects.
    • Monitors project progress and addresses any challenges or roadblocks.
