How to Schedule Fingerprinting

Overnight Field Trip Chaperones, Band Adjuncts and Good News Club Volunteers

1. What’s the first step to have my fingerprints collected?

You must pay for the fingerprinting prior to scheduling an appointment. To pay the fee, click on the link below. You will need to create a new account if you have never used the OSP system. There is a 4% handling fee ($1.65) that is charged by the vendor who provides this service to the district.

If you are not comfortable clicking the link, please visit the website at osp.osmsinc.com/Volusia, select District, then Community. Finally, scroll down to Volunteer Fingerprinting Fee, add to cart, and then check out.

2. Do I need to schedule an appointment?

Yes, an appointment is required to be fingerprinted. Walk-ins are not accepted. Once the fee has been paid, click on the link below to schedule an appointment. You will need the Order Number on the top right-hand side of your receipt to schedule your appointment.

Select your desired day and time. Under Reason for Fingerprint, select Volunteer.

3. Where do I go to be fingerprinted?

Fingerprints are collected by the Human Resources Department at the district’s DeLand Administrative Complex, 200 N. Clara Avenue, DeLand.

4. What do I need to bring to my fingerprinting appointment?

Two forms of identification, as least one of which must be a valid government-issued photo ID. The name and date of both on both forms of identification must match exactly as provided for the appointment. Volunteer/Partnership Programs 10/18/2021

5. What types of ID are accepted?

Acceptable primary IDs include: • State-issued Driver’s License • State-issued Non-Driver’s License ID Card • U.S. Passport • Military Identification Card • Work Visa w/ Photo Acceptable secondary IDs include: • Social Security Card • Birth Certificate • Citizenship or Naturalization Certificate

6. How do I cancel or reschedule an appointment?

To cancel or reschedule your appointment, please email a request to fingerprint@volusia.k12.fl.us. Office hours are between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday.

7. I have been fingerprinted several times in the past. Are you able to use those prints?

No. Any fingerprints that you had collected in the past are not retrievable nor transferable from other state or federal agencies.
