In response to the increase in testing demand, The Department of Health in Volusia County has expanded COVID-19 testing to the Orange City location, 775 Harley Strickland Blvd., Suite 110. PCR testing is now available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday by appointment only for symptomatic individuals and those who have been exposed to COVID-19. This includes students seeking testing and clearance to return to school.

Testing continues to be available Monday through Friday at the Daytona Beach location, 1845 Holsonback Drive. The County of Volusia and the Health Department continue to work together to explore additional testing opportunities.

The Health Department continues to offer COVID-19 vaccines at all four office locations. This includes third doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech and Moderna vaccines for moderately to severely immunocompromised residents. County Health Department locations are as follows:

  • 717 W. Canal St., New Smyrna Beach
  • 775 Harley Strickland Blvd., Orange City

Community testing site to ensure access to critical COVID-19 testing


NEW SMYRNA BEACH - The City of New Smyrna Beach in partnership with Nomi Health, a direct healthcare company coordinating COVID-19 testing and vaccination efforts across the country, announce the return of a COVID-19 testing site at the New Smyrna Beach City Gym at 1000 Live Oak St. to accommodate demand for COVID-19 testing. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nomi Health and the City of New Smyrna Beach look to provide a seamless experience for patients seeking peace of mind as they get back to school, work, and life as we know it.

The site will offer both PCR and antigen tests with a 24 to 48-hour turnaround for PCR tests and 1-hour turnaround for antigen tests. The samples are processed in a CLIA-certified laboratory using FDA EUA-authorized test kits.

Individuals in need of a test are asked to bring an insurance card if they have one. If they do not have insurance, they will not be turned away. Appointments are not required, but you may pre-register by visiting www.nomihealth.com/fl and selecting your location.
