The school choice application period for SY 2019-2020 has ended.
School choice applications to change schools during the second semester of the school year are not approved. Families new to the area need to register their children at their zoned schools. Families who have moved to a different area within Volusia County and would like to stay at their current school may submit an application to remain at their currently enrolled school for the remainder of this school year.
Students new to Volusia schools or new incoming kindergarten may obtain a paper application from any Volusia County school.

Attendance Area Maps
Proposed Attendance Boundary Change
The school district is proposing a change to the attendance boundaries for Citrus Grove (CGE) and George Marks (GME) elementary schools.
The affected area is south of CR15A (Spring Garden Ave); East of Hwy 17; and West of SR 11 (See map below).
This area was previously assigned to George Marks but was moved upon the opening of Citrus Grove Elementary. It will be reassigned to GME upon completion of the new George Marks Elementary. The new school is projected to be ready for occupancy in August 2020.
Current (SY 2017-18) and subsequent kindergarten students will be affected by the rezoning. To ease the transition for these students the district is offering an early reassignment to George Marks through the school choice process. Variance applications are available at both schools or on your parent portal for students with an existing alpha ID.
