The Family Empowerment Scholarship (FES) is a scholarship program offered by the State of Florida through the Department of Education. It is intended for low-income and working-class families. It is new and was created following the 2019 legislative session, when Governor Ron DeSantis signed SB 7070. It aims to provide life-changing scholarships to 18,000 students throughout the state and to help them achieve academic and career success.
