- New Smyrna Beach High
The Education Academy prepares students for careers related to early childhood education (pre-school) or education with practical experience of teaching in our on-site pre-school.
- University High
The Academy of Finance is a program established to develop students with the skills and knowledge to succeed in this fast-paced growth area of business. The AOF partnership bridges the gap between the classroom and the workplace. Students will participate in shadow days, go on field trips to different financial institutions or divisions within a company, and have many experts in the field speak to classes.
- Deltona High
The Food & Agricultural Science Academy is a career based program where students can explore careers through food science and related agricultural careers. Food Science is a unique blend of agriculture, farm to table, food chemistry and culinary skills. Courses offer students the chance to participate in preparations for career readiness as well as various college bound opportunities. Students who apply and are accepted into the academy will take part in a unique learning environment that helps to give them a clear career path and focus on post-secondary preparation.

Prepares students with the technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers such as a Game/Simulation Designer, Game Programmer, and Game Software Developer in the Information Technology career cluster.
- Mainland High
The Academy is designed for students with career interests in medical, health, and research fields. The Divisions include health sciences and biomedical sciences. By design the biomedical sciences division requires completion of college level courses and the rigors of high level sciences and mathematics.

The Advanced Digital Media Enterprise (ADME) Academy is designed to expose students to a wide range of creative production tools and applications. Students can select between two different tracks in the program, one for the more creative art generative students, the other for students who wish to focus on the business aspects, or a blend of the two.

The Allied Health Academy provides students with the opportunity to learn about and get hands on experience with Allied Health Professions. Allied Health professionals are involved with the delivery of health or related services pertaining to the identification, evaluation and prevention of diseases and disorders; dietary and nutrition services; rehabilitation and health systems management, among others.
- Atlantic High
The AEMS Academy provides training crucial to Florida’s unique environment and prepares students to preserve and protect the earth by working in careers related to aquaculture and environmental services. Students are immersed in ecologically significant projects such as water quality testing, marine life sampling, and invasive species eradication.

The program is a sequence of scaffolding courses, all aligned with appropriate national learning standards, which follows a proven hands-on, project-based, real-world problem-solving approach to learning. Students explore the concepts of human medicine and are introduced to topics such as forensics, physiology, genetics, microbiology, and infectious disease. Through activities, like dissections, students examine the processes, structures, and interactions of the human body, as well as real-world case studies that allow them to collaboratively problem solve various medical situations.
- DeLand High
The Communications Academy at DeLand High School will provide students with rigorous, hands on, real world experiences to prepare them for the industry. Students will have a comprehensive overview of communications in which they can then choose a path to continue on throughout their four years of high school. These paths include Digital Design, TV Production, and Journalism. In all paths, students will participate in “market-ready” activities which include being tested on and passing the industry exams in the appropriate courses along with being placed in the field with various internship hosts.

In the Criminal Justice program students will learn various elements of the criminal justice system: law enforcement, corrections, dispatch, forensics, and law. The students will be introduced to academic and practical applications of police operations and procedures, investigations and forensic science, and legal systems. The program includes a combination of academic studies, research projects and hands-on skill development
- University High
The UHS Digital Design Academy is a four-year course track that provides competencies in presentation production, digital photography, basic computer knowledge, illustration software, and photo editing software. The four courses are Digital Design Honors 1, Digital Design Honors 2, Digital Design Honors 3 and Digital Design Honors 4. The purpose of the UHS Digital Design Academy is to prepare students for employment in the Digital Design industry as Information Technology Assistants, Production Assistants, Digital Assistant Designers, Graphic Designers, and Multimedia Designers. The track focuses on proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop -- industry-standard software for graphic designers around the globe. Certifications in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator will be earned primarily in years 1 and 2. Students need to pass at least 3 of the 4 courses to officially graduate from the UHS Digital Design Academy.

The Engineering Academy delivers a curriculum in a comprehensive high school environment. We challenge students to achieve academically through college preparatory courses while exploring their stated career interests in Engineering and associated fields. Membership in the Engineering Academy exposes students to several Engineering disciplines where they can learn how their skills and interests align with the various engineering fields. Additionally, students completing the Engineering Academy who go on to college-level engineering typically have an easier transition due to exposure to many of the topics and skills needed for success. The Engineering Academy is affiliated with the Technology Student Association (TSA) at the national and state levels.
- DeLand High
The Engineering Academy is an exciting opportunity for our students to explore the many fields of engineering. The Academy emphasizes math, science, computer, and communication skills, while giving students experience with problem solving, logical sequencing, presentation skills, and organizational skills. Students gain hands-on experience with robotics, computer numerically controlled machines and other industry specific equipment. Students are required to fill out an application and must meet minimum requirements of at least 2.5 GPA, "C" in Algebra I, good attendance and discipline records.

The purpose of the Engineering Pathways program is to provide students with a foundation of knowledge and technically oriented experiences in the study of the applications of engineering and its effect upon our lives and the choosing of an occupation. The content and activities will also include the study of entrepreneurship, safety, and leadership skills. This program focuses on transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the technological tools, machines, instruments, materials, processes and systems in business and industry.

The Academy of Finance (AOF) is one of Volusia County Schools largest and highest rated career academies. Currently, in its 21st school year, AOF boasts a 9th-12th grade roster of 300+ honors level students. AOF’s 4-year program is built around educating students to be fiscally responsible. Whether they are interviewing for their first job, writing a check, budgeting for college or buying their first car, AOF students are prepared to make wise, well thought out financial life choices.

Students who apply and are accepted into the program will take part in a unique learning environment that helps to give them a clear career path and focus on post-secondary preparation.

The mission of the Academy of Information Technology & Robotics is to create a collaborative learning environment where students and facilitators work together in meaningful, rigorous, and engaging real-world curriculum with the support of parents and the business community to produce educated men and women who are prepared for the jobs of tomorrow.

The ALAG Academy focuses on careers in the areas of law, government and public service, providing information and intern experiences in careers for students who aspire to be lawyers, politicians, police officers, forensic scientists, crime lab technicians, and other law and government related fields.

The Medical Academy prepares students for a career as a patient care technician, medical administrative assistant, physician and other medical fields. Our Medical Academy aligns our students in Biology and English, offering interdisciplinary lessons. Medical Academy classes offer extensive project-based learning, job shadowing opportunities and hands on skills training. Our students participate nationally as members of the local HOSA Chapter. Job Shadowing and Internships are available for students. Guest speakers from all areas of the medical field meet with students. Students certify in adult and infant CPR.

The TEAL Academy allows students to explore a career that needs them now more than ever – teaching! Students take coursework to prepare them for a career in a Kindergarten through 12th grade classroom (K-12 pathway) or in early childhood education (children at birth to age 4).
- Atlantic High
The TESA Academy, in partnership with Embry Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU), prepares students to fly unmanned vehicles, airplanes, and introduces them to various aerospace careers. Building airplanes and small UAV’s; studying weather and aerodynamics are a few of the opportunities of this exciting and unique academy. Students can earn college dual enrollment credit on campus at Atlantic High School during their junior and senior years.
