Great People, Great Deeds is a monthly recognition of instructional and non-instructional employees in Volusia County Schools who have gone above and beyond to help others in their communities. Superintendent Dr. Carmen Balgobin recognizes these individuals in person and at a School Board meeting to highlight their great deeds.
Spring 2024 Recognitions
For our Great People, Great Deeds recognition of the year, we’d like to acknowledge our outstanding staff members who have gone beyond the call of duty. Thank you to Ameris Bank for sponsoring this month’s honors!
Congratulations to Ms. Lindy Feeser, a TOA, at Port Orange Elementary. Ms. Feeser learned that a student’s family was facing financial hardship and was without power and jumped into action and reached out to friends and family for support providing the family with what they needed.
Congratulations also to Ms. Francis Jones, Office Specialist at Campbell Middle School. Ms. Jones and her 20 mentee students, The Spartan Diamonds, organized Campbell’s first father-daughter dance and gave a wonderful experience to over 55 students.
We celebrate these ladies who have gone above and beyond to help others in their communities.
