We believe our results speak for themselves: back-to-back "A" ratings from the Florida Department of Education; all traditional schools earning proficient grades, with no "D" or "F" schools; improvement in 11 of 12 accountability areas; and a 96% graduation rate.

Students can begin exploring their passions in our elementary magnet programs, which focus on STEM, the arts, agriculture, dual language and French immersion, and gifted education. As they progress through school, they can choose from an expansive and growing selection of Career and Technical Education (CTE) pathways, programs, and academies, including health sciences, engineering, aviation, cybersecurity, manufacturing, culinary arts, agriculture, and business. Many of these programs allow students to earn industry certifications and gain real-world experience before graduation.

For students seeking academic challenges, the district offers rigorous coursework through Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), Cambridge AICE, dual enrollment, honors courses, and other accelerated programs that prepare students for college and future careers.

Volusia County Schools also provides a well-rounded educational experience through award-winning arts, music, theater, and visual arts programs, as well as athletics, clubs, and leadership opportunities. These experiences help students develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, and a strong sense of belonging.

ARTS AND EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES FOR ALL

The Cambridge AICE program is offered at eight VCS high schools.
The Cambridge Lower-Secondary (Middle School) program is offered at 6 middle schools.
Advanced Placement courses are offered at all 10 traditional high schools.
The International Baccalaureate program is available at two high schools.
Dual-enrollment courses are available at all 10 traditional high schools, students can earn college credit—even an Associate's degree—while still in high school.
