PURPOSE AND EFFECT: Purpose of this amendment is to authorize the appointment of two additional alternate committee members.

SUMMARY OF THE ECONOMIC IMPACT ON THIS POLICY: There is no economic impact on any agency or individual other than the cost of promulgating and disseminating this policy.

CONSIDERATION BY THE SCHOOL BOARD OF VOLUSIA COUNTY: The proposed action will be considered by the School Board of Volusia County at the meeting to be held by the School Board on April 12, 2022, at the DeLand Administrative Complex, 200 N01ih Clara Avenue, DeLand, Florida. The School Board shall set aside time for the purpose of receiving comment on the proposed action on or about 5:30 p.m. Speakers will be given up to three minutes to provide comment, in accordance with Volusia County School Board Policy 801. If any affected person under section 120.54, Florida Statutes, would like to request a hearing in order to present evidence and argument on any issue under consideration in the revision of the policy, he/she must submit such request in writing to the Agency Clerk, Ms. Erin Leben, at 200 North Clara Avenue, DeLand, Florida, 32720. The request must be received by the Agency Clerk no later than 5 p.m. on April 11, 2022.

The Notice of Policy Development appeared in the Daytona Beach News Journal on March 25, 2022.

IF A PERSON DECIDES TO APPEAL ANY DECISION MADE BY THE SCHOOL BOARD WITH RESPECT TO ANY MATTER CONSIDERED AT SUCH HEARING, HE/SHE WILL NEED A RECORD OF THE PROCEEDING, AND THAT, FOR SUCH PURPOSE, HE/SHE MAY NEED TO ENSURE THAT A VERBATIM RECORD OF THE PROCEEDINGS IS MADE, WHICH RECORD INCLUDES THE TESTIMONY AND EVIDENCE UPON WHICH THE APPEAL IS TO BE BASED.
